Job summary

Medical City McKinney is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the nursing team in Med Surg. You will assist with daily patient needs, vital signs, and mobility, helping ensure a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, BLS within 30 days, and prefers enrollment in an accredited nursing program with 1+ years of acute care experience. Full-time, night shift with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide hands-on care and support to RNs
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends on a rotating basis
• Basic life support certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin care.
• Keep patient areas clean and stocked for safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies and logs to support infection control.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and care team.
