Job summary

System Support is seeking a Patient Care Technician for Miami Valley Hospital in Ohio. The role supports nursing staff in a 7PM-7:30AM shift (36 hours/week, 72 hours per pay period).

Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, assisting with daily activities, collecting specimens, and handling unit clerk duties as needed. Training covers orientation and BLS CPR certification to ensure safe patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS CPR certification required or provided at orientation.
• No prior experience required; related healthcare training preferred.
• Certification in Patient Care Technician/Assistant or STNA/CNA is helpful.
• Able to multitask and stay organized under interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Check vitals including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Help patients with movement, dressing, and feeding.
• Collect samples such as urine for testing.
• Report changes in patient condition to a nurse.
• Assist with patient hygiene and mobility.
• Perform unit clerk tasks and paperwork as needed.
