The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Patient Care Technician to support a decentralized, patient-centered care team. Under RN supervision, you will monitor vital signs, assist with daily activities, and help ensure patient comfort and safety.

This regular, employee role requires strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team across shifts, including potential overtime as needed.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of patient care work experience in a health care facility or CNA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire and maintained thereafter.

Responsabilidades

• Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitized.
• Assist patients with everyday needs (hygiene, grooming, bathroom use).
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to the care team.
• Assist nursing staff with basic treatments.
• Ensure adequate patient care supplies and clean linen.
• Provide emotional support to patients.
• Assist with patient transfers and mobility as required.
