Northwell Health in the Hudson Valley is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to assist in delivering patient care under RN supervision, support admissions/transfers, and help with daily unit operations.

You will perform routine clinical tasks, document vitals, and participate in rounds while maintaining infection control and safety standards. BLS certification is required within 90 days. This is a full-time position with opportunities to learn within a large health system.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED.
• AHA BLS healthcare provider certification required within 90 days from DOH.
• Minimum of three months experience as a PCT or currently in a junior nursing program.

Aufgaben

• Assists in the delivery of patient care under RN guidance.
• Assists with admissions, transfers, discharges and transport.
• Records vital signs and reports abnormalities to the RN promptly.
• Demonstrates competence with basic procedures and patient care tasks.
• Communicates effectively with the health care team and documents on hospital forms.
• Maintains infection control practices and unit cleanliness.
