Job summary

The successful candidate will have completed a Nurse Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, or UTMB Hospital Aide program (or have 2 years of direct patient care), and hold current BLS-HP

Qualifications

• Completion of one of the listed technical programs or equivalent experience.
• Current BLS-HP certification is required.
• Two years of direct patient care experience or enrollment in a nursing program with clinical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Collects, reports and documents vital signs and basic patient measurements.
• Assists with activities of daily living and patient mobility.
• Maintains patient privacy and infection control.
• Supports feeding and personal hygiene.
• Assists with patient safety and restraints as directed.
