Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine is hiring a Patient Care Technician - Health Unit Coordinator to perform clerical and patient care duties under the supervision of licensed nurses.

Responsibilities include collecting patient data, monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, transporting specimens, and maintaining medical records. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential; weekend rotations may occur.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Less than 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Collects and records patient data and vital signs.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Transports specimens and delivers communications within the unit.
• Maintains and updates patient records and unit files.
• Answers call lights and supports nursing staff as needed.
• May serve as sitter for patients needing constant observation.
