Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; 1 year preferred.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient assessments and data collection.
• Assists with mobility, feeding, hygiene, glucose checks, turning, and rounding.
• Documents vital signs and treatments in the EMR in a timely manner.
• Communicates with the care team; notifies primary nurse of changes or concerns.
• Assists with admission/discharge and patient intake as needed.
• Reinforces education provided by licensed staff.
• Responds to call lights and alarms.
• If acting as sitter or unit secretary, supports patient care and clerical tasks as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
