Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is hiring a Patient Care Technician for full-time day shifts. The role provides patient care, supports ADLs, performs vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and specimen collection under the supervision of an RN.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and a qualifying certification such as CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, or EMT-related programs; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtainable.
• One of: Sentara Care Partner Certification, CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, Navy Hospital Corps School, EMT/EMS/AEMT/Paramedic, or clinical program in RN/LPN/RT/PT.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Monitor and document vital signs and patient condition.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation; observe and report changes to RN.
