Job summary

Parkview Health seeks a healthcare aide to assist with basic patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The role emphasizes dignity, high-quality care, and patient-focused service within a hospital setting.

Candidates should have a HS Diploma or GED and be prepared to obtain CPR within 60 days. 1+ year experience is preferred. Orientation will cover EPIC and facility protocols.

Qualifications

• If candidate is at least 17 years of age but does not yet have a current high school diploma/GED, must be actively working towards high school diploma/GED and receive within 2 years of hire.

Education

• Must have a HS Diploma or GED.

Licensure Certification

• Must obtain CPR certification within 60 days of hire.


• CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification preferred.


• If assigned to the Parkview Randallia Family Birthing Center, PCTs must be bonded as a notary public within 6 months of hire for those 18 years and older.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year experience working in the patient care setting preferred, but not required.

Other Qualifications

• Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications.


• Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.


• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Must be able to attend four (4) days of New Hire/Patient Care/EPIC Orientation. Typical Orientation schedule is Monday (All Day), Tuesday (All Day), Wednesday (All Day) and Thursday (All Day).
