Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department in Plainfield. This full-time role covers a night shift (11am-11:30pm) with rotating holidays and weekends, working 36 hours per week to support patient care under an RN.

The position requires CPR certification and preferred EMT-B credentials, plus prior patient care exposure or nursing assistant training. Strong teamwork and prioritization skills are essential for safe care delivery.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• EMT-B Certification preferred.
• Six months of patient care experience or completion of nursing assistant training.
• Completion of care companion course within six months of hire when required by department.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with patient care tasks to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Follow established procedures and document actions as required.
• Engage with patients and families professionally to support care delivery.

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do:

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need:

Education : N/A

Certification : Current CPR Certification issues by either American Heart Associates or American Red Cross

Preferred Certification : EMT-B Certification

Experience : Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation or successful completion of EMT-B course

Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.

Unique or Preferred Skills : Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
