Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the 11 West Neuro/Trauma Surgical Unit. You will provide nursing care, take blood pressure, monitor oxygen and temperature, assist patients with activities of daily living, and support one-on-one care as needed.

The role is full-time, day shift with every other weekend and rotating holidays, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus for external candidates meeting guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA preferred and BLS-HCP within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in direct patient care preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Transports patients, supplies, specimens, equipment and uses EMR.
• Supports admission, transfer and discharge processes with patient focus.
• Recognizes patient needs and communicates with licensed staff.
