Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support a decentralized, patient-centered approach under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required for PCT I.
• PCT II requires education or experience options listed.
• Active enrollment in nursing or healthcare field acceptable.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support decentralized patient-centered care under RN supervision.
• Perform multi-skilled activities to support patient outcomes.
• Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure coverage.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate or Bachelor's degree

1 year work experience in a .6 FTE PCT I position at MUSC CHS

1 year of experience in a healthcare facility

Active enrollment in nursing school with completion of Nursing Fundamentals

Active enrollment in a healthcare related field

Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant Certification
