Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide safe, compassionate bedside care in an acute care setting. You will support the healthcare team, assist with daily living activities, and help ensure patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include bedside shift reports, coordinating with the supervising RN, and addressing psychosocial and diversity needs of patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited CNA program.
• Current Nevada CNA license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Job summary

Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Completes bedside shift report in the room at the beginning and end of each shift. Ensures patient is provided with names and contact numbers for members of the care team on the communication board every shift.
• Meets with supervising RN at the beginning of each shift to receive delegation of tasks
• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care
