Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa is seeking a CNA - Patient Care Tech - EMT to join the Cardiac Admissions and Recovery-SJH team. This full-time role supports licensed nurses in delivering patient care across the clinical setting.

The patient care duties include hygiene, mobility, nutrition and toileting, ensuring safety, communicating with patients and the care team, and documenting care provided. Additional validated skills include catheter care, IV reseal, ostomy care and telemetry lead

Qualifications

• CNA/PCT responsibilities guided by licensed nurse in clinical settings.
• Must have High School or equivalent.
• Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Must satisfy one of the following: 6 months acute care, 1 year SNF, BayCare internship, or completed a PCT/Nursing Assistant program with at least 40 hours hands-on clinicals.
• Preferred: 1 year hospital experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patients' hygiene, mobility, nutrition and toileting.
• Ensure safety measures are in place and communicate with patient and care team.
• Document care provided accurately.
• Skills include urinary catheter care, IV reseal, suprapubic catheter care, telemetry lead placement, ostomy care/maintenance.
