Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for full-time day shifts at our Woodbridge, VA location. The role supports licensed nurses, participates in admissions/discharges, and monitors patient conditions with a strong emphasis on safety and quality care.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma and applicable CNA/NCMA/NCPCT credentials, or related certifications, plus hospital experience or clinical training. Comprehensive benefits included.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; several approved CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or equivalent certifications listed in the posting.
• Current student enrolled in a clinical RN/LPN/RT/PT program after at least one semester.
• Experience in hospital setting prior to applying is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes.
• Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any changes to the nurse.
• Adhere to patient safety practices and hospital protocols.
