Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore is seeking a Patient Care Technician for night shifts. Under nurse supervision, you perform routine delegated patient care and assist with mobility, transfers, and basic monitoring.
You will obtain vital signs, identify abnormal findings, report to nursing staff, and help orient patients. CNA and BLS certifications are required, with at least one year of clinical experience.
The Patient Care Technician is responsible for:
Under the supervision of a nurse, and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature as competency documentation designates.
Provides basic clinical skills required to safely perform routine delegated patient care activities, record and report pertinent clinical data, knowledge and use of specialized patient care equipment
1. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
2. BLS certification provided by AHA, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network
One year of clinical experience is required or successful completion of the intern program
Minimum 18.41/hour - Maximum 27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
