Lowell General Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech to join the Acute Care Transition Team in the Emergency Department. This role provides nurse-assisted ADL support, prepares rooms, and helps manage patient flow to ensure safe, compassionate transitions for patients awaiting inpatient beds.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Under nurse direction, assist with activities of daily living and patient care.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and maintain a safe environment.
• Transport patients and assist with procedures as directed.
• Operate equipment safely and collect specimens as needed.
• Maintain patient charts and document data in a timely manner.
• Provide patient sitter duties and continuous observation.

Ensure that the patient and family members are attended to in a caring and attentive manner, responding to the needs of patients/family members in a timely manner and maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.18.
