Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; successful completion of patient care/medical assisting programs or equivalent experience.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Preferred: Nurse Aide, EKG, phlebotomy certifications and related credentials.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to read/write English.
• Experience as PCT/ Nursing Assistant or related healthcare role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and non-direct patient care duties under RN supervision.
• Performs technical tasks as assigned by the Clinical Team Leader.
• Maintains patient records and communicates effectively with patients and team members.

Experience

• Required: None
• Preferred: Previous experience as a PCT, Nursing Assistant, EKG Technician, Phlebotomist and/or other related healthcare role

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent: Successful completion of Patient Care, Multi-skilled Tech certification program, Medical Assistant Certification, or equivalent comparable experience
• Preferred:

License and Credentials

• Required: American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider
• Preferred: Nurse Aide certification, EKG certification and/or Phlebotomy certification

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work well with others, conscientious, organized and reliable; computer skills for hospital information system; ability to read and write English.
