Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, CA. The role provides direct patient care and essential clinical support to the PACU team.

You will monitor vital signs, assist with cardiology observations, transport patients, and ensure safety during recovery. Accurate documentation in the EMR is required, with quick reporting of condition changes and support for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months’ EMT/CNA experience preferred.
• Current California CNA or EMT certification.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and clinical support to the PACU team.
• Monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms; assist with patient transport and safety.
• Document care in the electronic medical record and report condition changes.
• Support emergency response and maintain a safe, stocked PACU environment.
• Promote high-quality post-operative recovery.

It is Southwest Riverside County's only designated Trauma Center and a county-designated Paramedic Base Station. The hospital performs more than 4,000 surgeries a year, and has an average of 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month.The hospitalfeatures a Bariatric Weight-Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region’s only Total Joint Center.

Southwest HealthcareRancho Springs Hospital inMurrieta, California, is a 120 bed acute-care hospital with the region's only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board certified Rady Children’s emergency medicine physicians. Rancho Springs Hospital also provides the area's only OB/Emergency Department program, which gives expectant mothers 24/7 on-site access to OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs Hospital is the largest in the region and features spacious family-friendly private suites. Rancho's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children’s.

Employee may be required to float to the other facility within Southwest Health Rancho Springs and Inland Valley Hospital based on operational needs, with appropriate orientation and competency validation provided.

The Patient Care Technician provides direct patient care and essential clinical support to the PACU team. This role assists with monitoring vital signs, observing cardiac rhythms, patient transport, safety measures, and comfort during the recovery phase. The PCT documents care accurately in the electronic medical record, recognizes and reports changes in patient condition, and supports emergency response as needed.    NONE
2. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
   Current California Certified Nurse Assistant Certificate or California EMT
   BLS (must be through the American Heart Association)
   Basic dysrhythmia certification (preferred) or obtained within 6 months of hire
3. EXPERIENCE
   • Six (6) months’ experience working as an EMT/CNA preferred.
