Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nurses in providing hands-on patient care and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. You will assist with vital signs, mobility, and personal care while helping monitor conditions and execute care plans.

As part of a collaborative nursing team, you will help ensure comfort and dignity for every patient you serve.

Qualifications

• Supports RNs with patient care and comfort.
• Assists with daily living activities.
• Monitors patient conditions under supervision.
• Keeps patient areas clean, stocked and safe.
• Communicates with patients and families clearly.

Responsibilities

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be a vital part of our collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands-on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients. Youll assist with daily needs such as vital signs, mobility, and personal care, while helping RNs monitor conditions and carry out care plans. Your attention, empathy, and teamwork help restore comfort and dignity for every patient you serve and make our mission to improve lives a reality each day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assistingwith patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked tomaintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
