Job summary

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech who will greet patients and visitors, assist the patient care team, and manage patient charts with accuracy. This role supports the unit through clerical tasks, communication, and ensuring an organized, safe environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (GED acceptable) and knowledge of medical terminology, with strong customer service and computer skills to aid daily operations in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors and assist the patient care team with front-desk communications.
• Manage patient charts and ensure accurate clerical documentation.
• Provide clerical support and organize supplies to keep the unit orderly.
• Support patient-centered care by coordinating communication among staff and patients.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment on the unit.
• Demonstrate strong clerical and organizational skills for daily operations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and colleagues.
• Deliver courteous, responsive customer service to patients and visitors.
• Utilize basic computer systems to document information and retrieve records.
