Job summary

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver patient-centered rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. You will implement structured treatment plans and guide patients through therapeutic exercises in inpatient or outpatient settings.

Responsibilities include executing interventions, documenting progress, educating patients and families, and maintaining safety standards in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Licensure/Certification: Active state license or certification (OTA/COTA) and a clear background.
• Experience: A min of 1 year work exp required.
• Life Support: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently assist, move, or carry patients and equipment.
