SMG HSHS St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center in Illinois is seeking a patient care technician to assist the nursing team under RN supervision. Duties include direct and supportive patient care and collaboration with the health care team to ensure safe, compassionate service.

Job description

Pay Range: $17.00 - $23.80 A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, provides direct and non-direct patient care according to their scope of practice. Understands and reacts effectively to the unique needs of all patients. Works collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team to provide safe patient care.

Education Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Graduate of an approved school for Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or successful completion of a Patient Care Technician program or an Active EMT license is required.

1 of year of experience in patient or clinical care may be considered in lieu of education.
