Proper Brands in Missouri is seeking a Part-Time Budtender (Cannabis Patient Care Specialist) to join our team at University City location. You will deliver an exceptional patient experience, maintain product knowledge, and assist customers with dispensary selections in accordance with state law.

The role requires a HS Diploma or GED, 1+ years in retail, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work 20–29 hours weekly, including weekends and some evenings.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an exceptional patient/customer experience, creating a positive, memorable experience for every Proper Cannabis patient/customer.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of dispensary products and medicinal qualities.
• Educates patients on available products to meet desired outcomes and tailors recommendations to needs in compliance with state law.
• Processes sales and enters orders into the POS system, maintains cash drawer accuracy.
• Maintains cleanliness of the dispensary and professional working relationships.

OurPart-Time Budtender (Cannabis Patient Care Specialist) will work out of our location at University City - 7555 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO. This part-time opportunity will start at $15/hour plus tips, with approximately 20-29 hours per week, including weekends and possible evening shifts during the week.

Responsibilities for Budtender/Cannabis Patient Care Specialist:

Delivers an exceptional patient/customer experience, including, but not limited to:

• Creating a positive, memorable experience for every Proper Cannabis patient/customer;
• Ensuring the safety and satisfaction of every patient/customer;
• Maintaining a thorough knowledge of all dispensary products and medicinal qualities;
• Inquiring about any potential issues the patients/customers might be experiencing;
• Educating patients on a variety of available products that may achieve their desired outcome;
• Tailoring product recommendations to meet the patient’s/customer's needs in compliance with state law;
• Answering any questions the patients/customers may have related to dispensary products;
• Eliciting feedback from returning patients/customers to further customize recommendations;
• Serving as a brand ambassador;
• Backing up team members as necessary;
• Maintaining patient/customer flow;
• Maintaining patient/customer confidentiality.

Processes dispensary sales efficiently and accurately, including, but not limited to:

• Entering sales orders into the POS system;
• Maintaining an accurate cash count in the assigned drawer;
• Processing patient/customer payments and dispensing change;
• Updating sales and inventory records accurately;

Completes administrative duties, including, but not limited to:

• Attending team meetings;
• Collaborating with dispensary staff during times of peak business volume, as directed;
• Performing assigned dispensary side job or jobs;
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the dispensary, ensuring adherence to hygiene and sanitation guidelines;
• Maintaining professional, positive, and effective working relationships.

Requirements for Budtender/Cannabis Patient Care Specialist:

• HS Diploma or GED
• 1+ years in retail and guest services;
• Passion for medical cannabis
• Ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Customer service oriented and team centered with a positive attitude;
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
• Ability to gain and maintain a thorough understanding of the medicinal implications and effects of strains, including Sativa, Indica, and Hybrids.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Ability to obtain a Missouri Agent ID by start date

Preferred, but not required:

• Familiarity with Missouri medical cannabis laws and regulations;
• 1+ years of cannabis retail experience.

Environment:

This position requires the ability to reach, bend, stoop, sit, stand, and carry and lift up to 30 lbs. The work environment is an environmentally controlled retail store. This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
