Job summary

Boston Medical Center in Methuen is seeking a Medical Assistant / Patient Service Specialist I to join the clinical and administrative teams. You will handle daily tasks, greet patients, and support providers to ensure smooth operations in the physician practice.

The role requires strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to work independently while protecting patient confidentiality; prior MA experience preferred, with entry-level opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Education from approved medical assistant program or equivalent preferred.
• One to three years as a medical assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and help patients, work with providers to deliver care.
• Room patients and prepare them for visits.
• Take vitals and enter data into EMR accurately.
• Record patient history and insurance information in EMR.
• Obtain consents and complete forms for visit types.
• Administer vaccines and medications as ordered, following policy.
