Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System seeks a patient care support role in Pembroke Pines, FL. Under supervision of an RN, you will assist patients with daily activities, monitor vital signs, perform EKG and phlebotomy tasks, and help keep rooms clean and stocked.

This role requires basic patient care experience or completion of a formal training program. Required are BLS certifications (AHA) and the ability to work in a high-stress environment.

Qualifications

• No degree required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• BLS RQI certification required.
• BLS Certification Grace (Grace period) required.
• BLS Red Cross certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Keep patient rooms stocked, clean and orderly.
• Perform basic patient care under RN supervision: monitor vitals, EKG, phlebotomy, glucose, intake/output.
• Report abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Assist with patient transport when needed.
