Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Pembroke Pines, FL seeks a patient care associate to assist with basic nursing tasks under the supervision of an RN. You will monitor patients, perform vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, and glucose checks, and document inputs and outputs.

You will help with daily living activities, transport patients, and keep rooms clean and stocked. A minimum of three months of patient care experience and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Three (3) months of patient care experience required.
• EKG and phlebotomy competencies must be achieved within six months of hire.
• No degree required; basic patient care role with certification emphasis.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient status and report changes to nursing staff.
• Perform basic patient care tasks under RN supervision, including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, glucose testing, and input/output.
• Assist with transporting patients as needed.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating).
• Keep patient rooms/areas stocked, clean and orderly.
