Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant/Scribe to support our Springfield area practice. You will prepare exam rooms, escort patients, collect essential information for the medical record, and document findings in charts to assist physicians.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of related work experience; an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assistance is preferred, with national MA certification a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months related work experience.
• Knowledge of medical assisting; Associate’s Degree preferred; national MA certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms and prepares patients for examination and treatment.
• Obtains pertinent history and documents in the medical record; serves as scribe between patient and physician.
• Processes lab/diagnostic results and notes in patient charts; coordinates communication with providers.
• Coordinates patient flow and assists front office with scheduling and reception tasks.
