Aunt Martha's Health & Wellness is seeking a Referral Specialist in the Woodstock area to coordinate patient referrals, process orders, and communicate with patients and providers. The role uses Athena EHR and emphasizes HIPAA-compliant documentation and excellent customer service.

You will verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations when required, and act as the liaison among patients, providers, and health plans while maintaining accurate records and providing timely care coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of six months of experience in a medical office.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate referrals, processing medical orders, and updating patient status.
• Maintain accurate referral documentation within the Athena EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service and communicate referral/authorization updates to patients.
• Support clinic operations with administrative tasks and data entry.
