Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Patient Care Partner to assist patients and families with meal orders, tray delivery, and meal documentation. The role supports continuity of care from admission to discharge in a patient-centered environment.

The position is a full-time evening shift (2:30pm–11:00pm) with benefits. Requires a high school diploma or GED and current BLS within 30 days of hire, plus prior clerical and computer experience.

Qualifications

  • Current BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Previous computer experience is required.
  • Clerical experience is preferred, ideally in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with meal orders and deliver/collect meal trays.
  • Document meal intake and restock galleys as needed.
  • Answer patient call lights and outside calls; perform clerical duties as required.
  • Support continuity of care from admission to discharge following system policies.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Patient Care Manager and Charge Nurse, the Patient Care Partner is responsible for providing assistance to patients and families served by Saint Francis Healthcare System. The responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting patients with meal orders, delivering and collecting patient meal trays, documenting meal intake, restocking galleys, assisting with answering patient call lights, answering outside calls, and miscellaneous clerical duties. The PCP maintains a positive attitude when assuming tasks, works to achieve continuity of care from admission to discharge and works in accordance with the policies, procedures, philosophy and objectives of the Health System.

JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Time Type: Full time (80 hours per 2 week pay period), with benefits

Typical Hours: Evening shift, 2:30pm to 11:00pm, 5 shifts per week, every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Education: High School Diploma or GED- required

Certification & Licensures: Current BLS certification- required within 30 days of hire

Experience: Previous computer experience required. Previous clerical experience required, preferably in the medical field.
