Saint Francis Healthcare System in Missouri is seeking a PRN Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals for patients and customers, ensuring diets are followed and foods are plated at the correct temperatures.

The role may involve operating a cash register, labeling and storing food safely, and maintaining a clean, sanitary work area. Shifts are variable and on an as-needed basis to support patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service or patient meal delivery is a plus.

• Serve items on patient traylines and at restaurant counters.

Job Summary

Responsible for preparation and service of meals served to patients and customers. Customer service skills meet the expectation of the Medical Center’s standards of practice. Serves food items on patient trayline, ensuring accuracy of prescribed diet. Serves Restaurant customers quality food at the proper temperature and portion size. May operate a cash register. Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition. Ensures that all food and supplies are properly labeled and stored as required by County and State regulatory agencies. May operate dish machine, and/or wash pots and pans.
