Lehigh Valley Health Network, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Partner for the Night Shift at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton. This .9 FTE role provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and participates in a care delivery team focused on patient-centered outcomes.

Responsibilities include observing patients, communicating findings to the RN, and supporting unit goals. Requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of LVHN's partner course, with BLS within 30

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of LVHN's inexperienced technical partner course is acceptable.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and related activities as directed by a Registered Nurse.
• Observe and report patient status changes promptly to the RN.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff using appropriate styles.
• Assist with unit orientation and participate as a team member to meet hospital goals.

Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking.
