Job Description

The Nurse Supervisor provides supervision and leadership to the patient care units. Responsibilities include collaborating with and supporting the manager in staff evaluations, patient flow management, staff and family education, serving as a patient/guest service ambassador, and assisting with problem-solving during their tour of duty. Additionally, the supervisor coordinates staffing and nursing assignments for current and upcoming shifts, participates in hourly rounding, and ensures compliance with hospital policies and Baptist Health South Florida's objectives. They ensure that services are delivered within the hospital’s philosophy and standards.

Estimated pay range for this position is $45.34 - $60.30 per hour, depending on experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
Additional Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • RNs hired before 5/22/2022 are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non-leadership RN role.
  • RNs hired after 5/22/2022 with an Associate Degree have five years to complete their BSN.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, or NRP certifications must be obtained within six months of promotion or hire, as required by unit assignment.
  • Specialty certification must be obtained within two years of signing, promotion, or hire.

Candidates must have acute ICU or Cardiac Step-Down experience. BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
