Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA) - Medical Renal

Join Cleveland Clinic as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA) - Medical Renal at Hillcrest Hospital, a leader in research, surgery, and patient care. The 5 Seidman Medical Renal Unit at Hillcrest serves acutely ill adult and geriatric patients with renal, respiratory, cardiac, and other chronic conditions. As a PCNA, you will collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and healing environment. The position includes educational and skills development opportunities and is ideal for starting a nursing career in a supportive setting.

Shift: Varies from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend and holiday required.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with patient care under RN supervision, such as vital signs, personal care, point of care testing, dressing changes, monitoring devices, and Foley catheter removal.
• Reporting changes in patient conditions to an RN.
• Maintaining clean and orderly patient rooms.

Minimum qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from AHA
• Military medical experience (Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, Medical Service Technician) considered

Preferred qualifications:

• State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)

Physical and safety requirements:

• Full body motion, manual dexterity, extensive standing and walking.
