Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA) to join a 59-bed General Medicine/Geriatric unit. You will assist with basic patient care, monitor patients, report changes to an RN, and help keep rooms clean. The shift runs 6:30 a.m.

to 7:00 p.m., with every other weekend and holiday requirements. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification; nursing students may substitute rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through AHA or Red Cross within new hire period. Nursing students must have prior to hire.
• Nursing students may substitute clinical rotation for required experience.
• Military medical experience will be considered.
• Proficiency in applied mathematics & reading comprehension at minimum junior high level.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with basic patient care under an RN supervision.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in patient condition to an RN.
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.
