Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a knowledgeable Patient Navigator to coordinate care for patients with inherited bleeding disorders within a high-volume Hemophilia Treatment Center. You will manage clinic scheduling, assist with referrals, verify benefits, and support prior authorization processes to ensure timely access to care.

This role requires a High School Diploma and 5 years of healthcare experience; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 5 years of working experience in a health care environment is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a liaison between the patient, their family and internal/external service providers.
  • Implements individualized patient navigation plan by facilitating appointment scheduling and referrals.
  • Provides patient education and links clients with appropriate support services.
