Job summary

Methodist Health System in Dallas is seeking a Medical Assistant Patient Representative to support patient interactions and uphold the system's vision and mission. The role involves assisting physicians, taking patient histories and vitals, and performing nursing duties within licensure guidelines.

The ideal candidate has accredited Medical Assistant training, national certification, and BLS, plus strong communication and Office software skills. Occasional travel to satellite offices is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• National/Registered Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• Valid Basic Life Support Certification is required.
• 2+ years of professional medical assisting experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly and openly with patients and team members.
• Build relationships to promote a collaborative environment.
• Be accountable for your performance and patient care.
• Improve the patient experience through proactive service.
• Support physicians and nursing staff in clinical tasks as permitted.
• Take patient history and vital signs.

• Maintain infection control standards and sterilize instruments.
