Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a qualified nursing or medical assistant to provide personal care and assist licensed personnel. This role performs direct patient care under supervision and handles clerical tasks while ensuring patient safety.

Minimum requirements include an approved nursing or medical assistant course (or on-the-job training) and, preferably, at least one year of experience. BLS certification within 14 days of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Approved nursing or medical assistant course and/or on the job training.
• Minimum of one year experience.
• Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care duties as assigned under the direction of licensed personnel and physician.
• Assists in the performance of procedures for the patient population served in a manner that is consistent with established policies and procedures.
• Provides for patient safety.
• Performs clerical task and related duties.
• Completes assigned goals.
