Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Housekeeping Services Associate for 40hrs per week in the evenings, with rotating weekends and holidays. The role supports the patient care team by maintaining daily upkeep and environmental care of patient care areas and corridors.

Responsibilities include following the 7 Step Cleaning Process, ensuring cleanliness, stocking dispensers, and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Vaccination against influenza as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains daily upkeep and environmental care of patient care areas and support areas.
• Cleans patient care areas, common areas, bathrooms and other assigned spaces per standards.
• Replenishes soap, towels and toilet paper; ensures dispensers are stocked.
• Follows Hazcom program; handles trash and soiled linen appropriately.
• Disinfects isolation/precaution areas per procedures and uses chemicals safely.
• Keeps supply/cleaning carts and closets organized and stocked.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push or pull up to 30 lbs.
• Works independently and provides quality workmanship; flexible to change.
