Role Overview

The Patient Care Coordinator greets and registers patients in a prompt, pleasant, and helpful manner, as well as instructs, directs, and schedules patients and visitors. The receptionist receives cash payments from patients, issues receipts, and posts cash payment data.

Schedule & Location

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00AM – 5:30PM (8-hour shift, 40-hours per week). The supervisor will determine the schedule, within the given hours, upon hire.

Location: 350 Indiana St. Golden, CO 80401. Some training will be onsite at 1707 Cole Blvd. Golden, CO.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait time.
  2. Complete check-in and check-out tasks, including insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and copying required documents.
  3. Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles; issues receipts.
  4. Manages cashier box and daily deposits per company policies.
  5. Processes walk-in patients and visitors.
  6. Answers phones and schedules appointments.
  7. Answers telephone calls, redirects calls as appropriate, assists callers with questions or concerns, and takes messages as needed.
  8. Manages medical records, maintains, files/scans, and prepares for scheduling.
  9. Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release, and maintains logs.
  10. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
  11. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Benefits & Compensation

Salary range: $16.88 to $33.22 per hour, based on full-time employment, local labor markets, experience, and certifications. Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience with strong communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with electronic health records, healthcare scheduling, and handling multi-system phone lines.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to handle cash and perform mathematical computations at high volumes.
