Overview

The Patient Care Coordinator is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for managing a patient’s healthcare and treatment needs, and for ensuring quality metrics for the Cardiac/Telemetry/Medical-Surgical Unit. This role includes coordinating personnel to meet patient and physician care needs, implementing safety and emergency measures, and facilitating communication among the healthcare team, patients, and family members. The Coordinator will care for adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients, utilizing the nursing process within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of Arkansas and the policies of the Health System. The Clinical Supervisor demonstrates a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts.

Safety Sensitive Position

This position is designated as a “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of Arkansas. Employees under the influence of Marijuana pose a threat to patients and customers, which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing healthcare services.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current, active Arkansas license
• BSN preferred
• Certification preferred
• At least 2 years of medical-surgical nursing or middle management experience preferred
• Proof of high school diploma or higher education
