Elite Physical Therapy, a brand partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Meridian, MS

What is a Patient Care Coordinator?
  • An entry-level office role responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the clinic.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Learn new skills daily, multitasking across multiple computer programs.
A day in the life of a Patient Care Coordinator:
  • Greet everyone entering the clinic warmly.
  • Schedule new referrals received by fax or phone from patients and physicians.
  • Verify patients' insurance coverage.
  • Collect patient payments.
  • Keep the front office organized and tidy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The PCC-I supports clinic growth through excellent practice management and patient intake. Collaborating with the Clinic Director, the role ensures efficient clinic procedures and supports our mission and values.

Responsibilities include:
  • Handling payments at the time of service.
  • Converting referrals into evaluations.
  • Scheduling patient visits.
  • Providing excellent customer service.
  • Creating an inviting clinic atmosphere.
  • Making welcome calls and managing clinic schedules and documentation.
  • Participating in training and compliance activities.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, organize, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Effective time management and presentation skills as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
  • Work environment involves indoor conditions; some physical activity including sitting, standing, lifting, and operating office equipment.
  • Full-time hours Monday through Friday, with potential evening and weekend work for special events.
  • Must be able to perform sedentary work, communicate effectively, and handle physical tasks as specified.
