Job Summary:

Assigned to a patient under a healthcare provider’s orders within a hospital setting, performing tasks that promote the patient's comfort and safety as a key member of the healthcare team. Responsible for observing the patient, monitoring for behavioral issues, fall risks, disorientation, etc., and reporting observations to the licensed healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remain close to the patient at all times and call for help immediately if any risk is identified.
  • Recognize acute changes in patient safety conditions.
  • Report any changes in condition or observations to the healthcare team.
  • Support patient care under the supervision of the healthcare team, including assisting with linen changes, meal tray preparation, and filling water pitchers.
