VCA Bakersfield Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Patient Care Attendant to join our team at 8610 Harris Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93311. This full-time role requires availability for nights, weekends, and alternating holidays, with a starting salary of $17 per hour and shift differentials of $2–$3 for specified hours.

You’ll clean cages, feed and care for dogs and cats, walk and bathe animals, do laundry, and support doctors and technicians.

Job description

VCA Bakersfield Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Patient Care Attendant (Kennel Assistant) to join our team. Location: 8610 Harris Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93311 Schedule: Full-time, Nights and Weekends Salary: $17 per hour, shift differential for applicable shifts The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our loyal clientele and the highest quality care to their boarded and hospitalized pets.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning cages.
• Feeding and caring for dogs and cats.
• Walking dogs.
• Bathing dogs.
• Doing laundry.
• Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises.
• Assisting Doctors and Technicians when necessary.

Shift Differential: Additional $2/hr for hours worked between 6p-12a and an additional $3/hr for hours worked between 12 am - 5 am Schedule: Must be available nights and weekends and alternating holidays
