VCA Bakersfield Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Patient Care Attendant (Kennel Assistant) to join our team at 8610 Harris Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93311. This full-time position requires night and weekend availability and offers competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities include cleaning cages, feeding and caring for dogs and cats, walking dogs, bathing, laundry, and assisting Doctors and Technicians. Shift differential adds $2/hr for 6p–12a and $3/hr for 12a–5a; benefits include

Job description

VCA Bakersfield Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Patient Care Attendant (Kennel Assistant) to join our team.

Location: 8610 Harris Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93311

Schedule: Full-time, Nights and Weekends

Salary: $17 per hour, shift differential for applicable shifts

The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our loyal clientele and the highest quality care to their boarded and hospitalized pets.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning cages.
• Feeding and caring for dogs and cats.
• Walking dogs.
• Bathing dogs.
• Doing laundry.
• Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises.
• Assisting Doctors and Technicians when necessary.

Shift Differential: Additional $2/hr for hours worked between 6p-12a and an additional $3/hr for hours worked between 12 am - 5 am

Schedule: Must be available nights and weekends and alternating holidays
