Job Description - PATIENT CARE ASST-Capacity Management Center- 24HR Evening Shift (3p-11p) (252179)

Responsibilities
  1. Provides direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.
  2. Implements components of the care plan based on physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
  3. Ensures patient comfort, safety, and emergency measures; assists with activities of daily living, including personal care, nutrition, and elimination needs.
  4. Measures vital signs, performs ECGs, and capillary blood glucose testing as needed.
  5. Observes and reports on equipment functioning, treatment results, dressing conditions, and patient status changes.
  6. Incorporates Hospital's Customer Service Program principles into patient care.
  7. Adheres to departmental policies and procedures.
  8. If certification is not present at hire, employee must complete onsite nursing certification within 90 days.
Qualifications
  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  2. Preferred: Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant Program, or completion of at least one clinical rotation in an accredited Nursing program.
  3. 1 Year experience in a patient care role (Preferred)
  4. Required: BLS - Basic Life Support certification
  5. Preferred: CMA - Certified Medical Assistant, CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant
