Job summary

Texas Children's is seeking a full-time Evening Shift Patient Care Assistant for The Woodland's Emergency Center. You will perform routine and specialized patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, delivering care that is family-centered and developmentally appropriate.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and either nursing assistant certification or enrollment in a BSN program with at least one clinical rotation, plus at least one year of direct patient

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a formal nursing assistant educational program or certification.
• Currently enrolled in a BSN degree program with one clinical rotation completed at hire.
• One year of direct patient care experience.

Job description

We are searching for a full-time, evening shift (3pm-3am) Patient Care Assistant for The Woodland's Emergency Center— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will perform a variety of routine and specialized patient care activities, as assigned, under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). Care will be delivered that incorporates Family Centered Care cost-effectively and is developmental and age-appropriate for the patient population.

• Completion of a formal nursing assistant educational program or certification (e.g. Diploma/Course/Certificate/associate degree/Etc. completed in a Certified Nurse Assistant, Medical Assistant, or similar clinical education program).
• Currently enrolled in a BSN degree program with one clinical rotation completed at hire.
• One (1) year of direct patient care experience.
