Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Youngstown seeks a Nursing Aide to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, adhering to regulations and facility policies. You will support patients with basic care, monitor vital signs, document care, and communicate effectively with the care team in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred recent experience in acute care, physician offices, home health/hospice or long-term care.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a nursing aide training program or equivalent.
• State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) certification or equivalent.
• CNA certification or completion of nursing program with clinical rotation is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including care and comfort, vital signs, hygiene, and mobility.
• Serve as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes.
• Deliver high quality customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Accurately document patient care in a timely manner.
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with the healthcare team.
