Job summary

Sinai Hospital's Intermediate Care Unit in Baltimore seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide safe, age-appropriate patient care under the direction of the RN. The 36-bed ICU step-down unit handles neurologic, respiratory, cardiac, renal, and other complex cases, offering broad exposure in a fast-paced environment.

Eligible candidates must hold BLS and Maryland CNA certification (CNA-I or CNA-II). Pay is $20.00 per hour (Union affiliated) with comprehensive benefits and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current Maryland CNA certification (CNA-I or CNA-II) required.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, provide safe, age-appropriate patient care.
• Assist with monitoring and interventions in the ICU step-down unit.
• Support patient safety, comfort, and family communication.

Job description

Sinai Hospital's Intermediate Care Unit is a 36-bed ICU step-down unit caring for stable, critically ill adult patients who need close monitoring and frequent intervention. Each private room is equipped with full hemodynamic monitoring, and the unit's broad case mix spans neurologic, respiratory, cardiac, renal, and other complex conditions, giving nurses wide exposure in a fast-paced critical care environment.

Summary:
Under the direction of the RN provides safe, age-appropriate patient care. Unified by the core purpose of creating a healthier community one person at a time, the members of the Division of Patient Care Services commit themselves to sustaining a culture focused on achieving optimal patient outcomes. Each employee is obligated to deliver highly reliable care while adhering to all National Patient Safety Goals.

Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support Certification
• Current Maryland CNA certification (CNA-I or CNA-II)
