Mercy is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist in individualized patient care under the guidance of the RN or LPN. You will work as part of a cooperative care team, performing designated clinical procedures and supportive tasks essential to patient wellness.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and timely completion of PCA competencies and BLS requirements after onboarding.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED or CNA/CPTC or enrollment in healthcare program.
• Experience not required.
• BLS within 1 month of hire; PCA competencies within 3 months of hire.

Position Details

Under the direction of the RN or LPN, assists in the individualized care of the patient to achieve the patients highest level of wellness. Works cooperatively with others as part of a team; recognizes the importance of group goals. Performs designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to providing care to the patient.

Education

• High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA/CPTC. or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum, and/or a current co-worker of Mercy.

Experience

• None required

Certifications

• BLS Required within one month of hire, completion of PCA competencies within 3 months of hire

Physical Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Preferred Certifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
